In 2020, the monumental city villa ‘Villa Wanrooy’ was transformed into a contemporary boutique hotel with 7 hotel rooms, 3 independent studio apartments (called: Walhuisjes) and a deep city garden. While retaining the original elements, comfort and quality have been added to this city villa.

At Boetiekhotel Villa Wanrooy, it's all about enjoyment and good food. That's why each room is decorated according to one of the tastes, each with its own colour theme and décor. There is a little smuggling, because on top of the five original flavours, ‘spicy’ and ‘tasteless’ have been added. Needless to say, you'll find comfort and quality in every room.

On the ground floor, you will find the Eetwinkel Van Mien. Here you will find the best from the Achterhoek and the Liemers region. In the dining room, you can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, delicious lunch, amazing drink and cosy dinner (on Fridays and Saturdays). Full of local ingredients, of course.

From Boetiekhotel Villa Wanrooy, you can walk straight into Doetinchem's shopping streets and culinary eating street. It is also a great base to discover the rest of the Achterhoek region on foot or by bike. Perfect as an end to a day full of business appointments in (the surroundings of) Doetinchem.

In the spacious City Garden, you will organise the best (company) parties, (networking) get-togethers, dinners and more. Thanks to the cosy food truck, many seats and stretch tent, you can enjoy the atmosphere in a special place in the middle of the city.
