In 2020, the monumental city villa ‘Villa Wanrooy’ was transformed into a contemporary boutique hotel with seven hotel rooms, three independent Walhuisjes (Wal houses) and a deep city garden. While retaining the original elements, comfort and quality have been added to this city villa.

At Boutique Hotel Villa Wanrooy, it's all about enjoyment and good food. That's why each room is decorated according to one of the flavours, each with its own colour theme and décor. We cheated a little, because in addition to the five original flavours, we also added “spicy” and “tasteless”. Naturally, you will find comfort and quality in every room.

On the ground floor, you will find di Mina, where “first taste, then talk” is the motto. Here you can enjoy authentic Italian dishes, prepared with fresh, flavourful ingredients. You can come here every day for an extensive breakfast, delicious lunch and a cosy drink. Di Mina brings a piece of Mediterranean passion to Doetinchem and uses both Italian and local products from Buitenplaats Park Ruimzicht.

From Boutique Hotel Villa Wanrooy, you can walk straight into the shopping streets and culinary dining street of Doetinchem. It is also a great base from which to explore the rest of the Achterhoek on foot or by bicycle. Perfect as the end to a day full of business appointments in (and around) Doetinchem.

In the spacious City Garden, you can organise the best (company) parties, (networking) drinks, dinners and more. Thanks to the cosy food truck, numerous seating areas and stretch tent, you can enjoy a wonderful atmosphere in a unique location in the heart of the city.
