Bereikbaarheid

The Achterhoek is easily accessible from all sides.

It lies between the River IJssel and the German border in the east of the country. It feels far away from everything while remaining close to civilisation. The main cities in the region are Zutphen, Doetinchem and Doesburg. The Achterhoek boasts excellent accessibility. You can reach your destination by car within an hour and a half from most major cities in the Netherlands. Parking is often still free. Public transport to and around the Achterhoek is well organised almost everywhere. Other transport options such as taxis, rental bikes or a pick-up and drop-off service are also available.
